You won the game in Easy mode

Thank you for writing this Jason. As others pointed out, you still deserve credit for taking risks with your privileges and creating additional value on top of it.

One good metaphor I read somewhere else on Medium is that professional life is like a videogame. The privileges you list (being a healthy, educated white male in the US) is like playing it in Easy mode, and you successfully completed the level and beat the boss. And while it is true that many people in Easy mode don’t achieve what you achieved, it is important to recognize that a lot of other players are in Difficult mode.
