Hello Matty, thanks for writing this. I’m myself wrapping up a Slack app (http://www.smooz.io) and I’m curious of your thoughts about the App Directory. Beyond, obviously, discoverability from being featured. What features are still missing, or on the other hand what have you found helpful?

Also, why wouldn’t you ask for channel permissions, to solve your activation problem?
